Contractor Installation Checklist

Pre-Installation

  • Review Project Documents

    • Confirm design intent, drawings, and finish selections.

    • Verify appliance specifications (dimensions, clearances, connections).

    • Cross-check compliance/permit requirements (electrical, plumbing, gas, fire).

  • Site Preparation

    • Confirm substrate is level, stable, and rated for load.

    • Verify access paths for flat-pack shipping (elevators, doorways, rooftop hoists).

    • Plan utilities layout (gas lines, plumbing, electrical conduit).

  • Tools & Equipment

    • Level, square, chalk line, clamps.

    • Power tools: drill/driver, circular saw (for scoring radius panels), oscillating tool.

    • Carbide/diamond blades for Cemrock cutting.

    • PPE: gloves, eyewear, dust mask/respirator.

  • Material Staging

    • Inventory OLF modules, panels, legs, trays, carrier strips, and accessories.

    • Confirm all adhesives, fasteners, and sealants are on site.

    • Stage appliances and confirm delivery protection.

Sequencing

  1. Layout & Marking

    • Mark module footprint and utility penetrations on substrate.

    • Confirm dimensions against design drawings.

  2. Utility Rough-Ins

    • Run electrical conduit, gas piping, plumbing stubs to exact locations.

    • Cap and pressure-test gas lines.

  3. Module Placement

    • Install legs, trays, and carrier strips per OLF modular sequence.

    • Check level on each unit; adjust with leveling feet.

    • Secure bases and trays before cladding or finishing.

  4. Utility Integration

    • Cut access points in Cemrock panels as required (carbide/diamond blades).

    • Install junction boxes, valves, and service panels.

    • Confirm clearances for appliances, venting, and maintenance.

  5. Appliance Installation

    • Set grills, refrigerators, sinks, burners, fire features per manufacturer specs.

    • Connect utilities (licensed trades only).

    • Test all appliances before finish cladding.

  6. Finish Application

    • Install cladding: stone, veneer, tile, wood, metal, stucco.

    • Address corners, edges, and returns with carrier strips.

    • Apply sealants/membranes where required (weather exposure).

  7. Final Checks

    • Confirm doors/drawers align and operate.

    • Verify access panels are removable.

    • Test appliances under load (burners, refrigeration, water).

    • Clean surfaces and stage for client review.

Installation Close-Out

  • Collect all manuals, warranty cards, and inspection approvals.

  • Photograph concealed utilities and structural anchorage before cladding.

  • Walk client through operation and care of OLF modules and finishes.

  • Submit compliance package (as-builts, permit sign-offs, inspection reports).
